Bishopston Library hosted a full-house on September 12th 2026 to watch the film “The People’s Emergency Briefing“, and discuss the implications. The film raises awareness of the climate and nature crisis we are facing.
Many people asked “what can I do, how can I get involved”. Here are some useful resources.
Bristol One City have issued an attractively produced letter to viewers of the film, giving example of how the city is responding to the challenges of the film.
The Bristol Advisory Committee on Climate Change (BACCC) have issued a response and analysis of the claims made by the film. Follow the link HERE to their website and detailed analysis.
There are many things going on around Bishopston that you may want to get involved in. An attendee at an earlier showing produced this spreadsheet to download with a number of opportunities. This list is not complete and you may know of others*.
* (I volunteer at the monthly “Repair Cafe” at the Ardagh Centre, Horfield Common. Normally 3rd Saturdays 10am -12pm.)
