A series of talented events

The Friends of Bishopston Library are delighted to have been successful in their bid to Bristol Libraries Innovation Fund, enabling us to run an exciting project for young people age 17-23 to develop and display their talents. We have appointed a co- ordinator, Anne-Louise Perez, who will oversee project activities. These include a high profile launch, a series of one off creative workshops run by experts, covering arts, science & technology and humanities, and a final showcase event.

We are now looking to recruit a small group of young people keen to volunteer some time to help shape and deliver the project. This Ambassador Team will have a vital role to play in its success, bringing ideas, networks and contacts. Plus they will gain project management skills, boost their confidence – and it will all add value to a CV!

Does this sound like you, or someone you know? As well as attending a couple of meetings this side of the summer break, you will need to be around in the autumn when the workshops and events will take place. Whether you’re at sixth form, college, university or working, if you have great ideas to offer, contact Anne-Louise at yourstreetconsulting@gmail.com with ‘Ambassador’ in the subject line.

Please say a bit about yourself, including your age and current situation (where you are studying or working), plus any areas of interest and expertise. Please email by 9 April, and Anne-Louise will contact you. This project needs YOU!
